Starting on Saturday 30 September 2023, the NRS will trial operating Video Relay between 8am and 12 noon on Saturdays. The trial will assess demand for Video Relay during these hours and test interpreter availability.

The NRS currently offers the Video Relay call option between 7am to 6pm (AEST) Monday to Friday. These hours of operation are because of the limited number of Auslan interpreters in Australia.

All other NRS call options remain available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
